A nice little stop on the way to Mathur Aquaduct is
Thirparappu Waterfalls is located near Kulasekharam town in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu state, India.
The Kodayar River makes its descent at Thiruparappu. The waterfalls is about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from Pechiparai Dam. It is just a 15 min drive from the waterfalls. The riverbed is rocky and about 300 feet (91 m) in length.
This is a massively popular place for the locals with a small pool and places to really get wet! Given most Indians can’t swim, a spot like this is great because nothing is past standing depth for kids. This allows parents to relax a little themselves. When the waters are flowing, I’m told this really packs out.
