Journey to India

Plane boarding was at about 4:25pm on the 9th Feb, 2025, aiming to start treatment at Dentzz on the 12th. The flight from Melbourne to Colombo, Sri Lanka was absolutely brilliant. Smooth, , modern aircraft, great service, very tasty Sri Lankan food, Curried Chook was just . You couldn’t ask for more.

There was an hour or two between flights for the final leg to Mumbai. Can’t say that was quite the same. The plane was quite a bit older and the council did a terrible job of making the road. The potholes were pretty bumpy. The cabin crew even had to sit down and belt up a couple of times.

On both flights, the cabin crew were absolutely second to none! Their grooming was phenomenal. Across all of the girls, not one strand of hair out of place, make up impecable, the professionalism in their grooming was the best I’ve ever seen. The crew were warm, friendly, very helpful and just thorough professionals. I’d recommend them to anyone, well, except Gaz, who’d have to bring his own tucker!

Dentzz’ driver picked me up at about 3:30AM and dropped me at Bawa Suites at 4:30AM. They set me up on the couch in the foyer, with a charging point, then gave me the tastiest cup of tea I’ve ever had. Apparently made with spices, ginger and milk. Yep, to our ears, that sounds terrible but trust me, you could never be satisfied with a Tetley tea bag again.

I was booked in for the 12th at Dentzz but thought I should pop in and let them know I’d landed. Within the hour, they shuffled things around. I spent most of the day going through the scans, X-rays, Blood tests (yes, blood tests!) etc. They even had the moulds done, all by 3pm.

What blew me away was the quality of the equipment compared to their Australian counterparts, Faster, Higher resolution, far more detailed! The offices themselves looked like a High End facility.
